Help Us Build America’s Most Inclusive Park.

The Goal

“A play and recreation space for people of all ages and abilities.”

Not just a playground. A park is more than just the playground. Universal Park is 18 acres of recreational space for individuals of all ages and abilities. From play to fitness. Athletics to picnics.

Respect for nature

Only trees that were dead, in very poor condition, or had low likelihood of survival (ash) were removed.

In 2019 a Tree Inventory and Assessment was completed

Each tree was given a unique ID number to help limit the number of trees that would need to be removed.

Tree trunks that were removed are being saved for future use in the park. Urban wood utilization is a way of finding the best use of the trees that had to be removed.

Goal #1

Provide a space where people of all abilities and ages can play together

Goal #2

Create a park that exemplifies universal inclusion that preserves, protects and enhances the natural landscape of the park

Goal #3

Create a “new normal” for the development of inclusive parks across the country

Planned Park Features

We hope you’ll join the RampUp movement, becoming a part of the solution that enABLEs everyBODY to play …. TOGETHER!
