TAC has successfully “Ramp(ed)Up” multiple locations across Milwaukee County with the goal of making Milwaukee more accessible to ALL. We invite you to visit the locations below!
Together with Wheel Fun Rentals, Milwaukee County Parks, Bader Philanthropies and the community Veterans Park is Ramped Up. Don’t think that just because you can’t pedal a bike with your feet you can’t take a ride! Biking is now open for ALL abilities. Enjoy hand cycles, for free, whenever Wheel Fun Rentals is open.
This is where RampUpMKE was born in 2015. With the support of the community, Milwaukee County Parks and foundations The Ability Center was able to place accessible beach wheelchairs at The Dock, a ramp to the sand, and a Mobi-Mat to the waterfront. Bradford Beach went from being inaccessible to inclusive from walkways to water.
Ice skating in Milwaukee is now more inclusive than ever before! EveryBODY can use adaptive ice skating sleds—no disability required! Ice sleds are available seasonally outdoors at Red Arrow Park and all year long indoors at Wilson Ice Arena. All RampUp equipment is available for community members to enjoy for free.
